Today I am sharing an awesome Android app that minimalizes obtrusive screen-obscuring notifications while at the same time providing more detail. Check out this side-by-side comparison.
The Super Status Bar app can, among other things, show incoming notifications as ticker-tape text in the status bar area without obstructing your screen. I find the default experience to be just about perfect, but there are also a wealth of customization options such as scrolling text and other effects, color and style to look like other OEM status bars (Apple, Samsung, and more).
There are also other utilities available like an option to allow brightness or volume changes by swiping across your status bar.

I just really like this app. Even if the ticker notifications was the only function this app provided, it’d be worth a mention.
